Divisions not listed in the sub-menus include minor Divisions grouped by geographic region or ethnicity:

  • Division VI: Corson families from Germanic countries in Europe
  • Division VIII: Colson families not descended from Division I
  • Division IX: Corson families from the rest of Europe
  • Division X: ungrouped Corson individuals and families
  • Division XI: African-American Corson families
  • Division XII: Native-American Corson families
  • Division XIII: Corson families from Canada, Mexico, and South America
  • Division XIV: Corson families from Oceania, Asia, and anywhere else

Family Lines

When enough genealogical and/or DNA data are available, the CCFHA groups family lines descending from individual male-line progenitors into "Divisions" (e.g., Divisions I, II, III, IV, VII, and XV).  In the absence of such data, however, family lines are grouped into Divisions based on geographic region or ethnicity, with the goal of moving these families to progenitor-based Divisions if more data become available (see Other Divisions).
